| Whether its a huge bunch
sitting in a beautiful vase somewhere in your house or stretching as far
as the eye can see in a park, tulips really add a more solid patch of colour
to any area inside or out. The bulb fields in Holland are really worth a visit at the end of April, so pop over for a weekend. Tulips like to grow in full sun and if you want flowers every year you must feed the bulbs whilst they are flowering and for a month afterwards. Dont cut the leaves off after flowering but let them die down. They prefer a fairly dry soil in the summer to rest. |

Move
your tulip bulbs around put them in a nice pot or bowl in the autumn and
water once a week through till the spring. Dont put them in a damp dark
part of the garden when they are finished because if the slugs dont get
them wet conditions will. |
