For a real flavour of the Mediterranean add Oregano
It grows as far north as Scandinavia and as far south as Mexico where it grows wild and is the most popular herb.

Appearance Pale purple flowers atop small oval pointed leaves which are slightly furry..

Growing Position Rich well drained soil in a sunny place.

General Information Oregano across the Mediterranean and the world does not taste similar and put together with very different styles and flavours of local foods you might even think the name of the herb you are eating is different. An excellent plant for attracting bees.
Spring Sow seeds in trays early and place in the greenhouse for an early crop.
Summer Transplant seedlings outside or sow more seeds in May.
Autumn Harvest the leaves and flowers and dry.

Use Leaves and flowers.
