Autumn Sow ripened seeds directly oudoors in September under netting. Take root cuttings.

  • Use young stems candied like angelica.
  • Cook the leaves like spinach.
  • Add the leaves to sauces and salads.
  • Add the seeds to fruit salads
  • Eat the young stems raw like celery or lightly boiled or steamed.
  • Make a Mild tea from the seeds or the leaves.
  • Expels salt from the body.
  • The leaves can tast and smell like meat when cooked in soups and stews.
