PLANT TEMP LIGHT SOIL FEED CARE
Oplismenus africanus
(BASKET GRASS)

10-21C Good light Houseplant mix Spring-Summer A tray of moist pebbles will suit this plant well. If it is placed in good light the leaves will tinge with pink. If your plant becomes straggly when old then take cuttings.
PALMS

15-21C Good light, morning sun Loam & leafmould mix Spring-Autumn Humidity and sun are the Palms favourite conditions. When repotting take care not to damage the roots. Never clean leaves with chemicals.
PASSIFLORA (PASSION FLOWER)

13-18C Good light, morning sun Loam Spring-Autumn Frequent repotting, watering and feeding is required for this most beautiful of plants. It is a very active grower and you might need to prune frequently. Growing from a fruit bought in the supermarket is very easy and it will grow vigorously in the right conditions.
PELARGONIUM (GERANIUM)

10-21C Full sun Loam or Peat Spring-Summer Do not allow to dry out. Plants like to rest in winter so do not water too much.
PEPEROMIA (DESERT PRIVET)

13-18C Good light, morning sun Loam or soilless Spring-Summer The Desert Privet needs only moderate watering through the year. Shallow container is best.

15-21C Good light Peat Spring-Autumn Pot on only when the roots fill the pot. Spray with a fine mist from time to time.
PILEA

15-21C Shady Soilless Spring-Autumn Feed all year so they will flourish. They can look past their best after 3-4 years so be adventurous and take some cuttings.
PITCHER (NEPENTHES) 15-23C Semi-shade Orchid Bark & Spagnum moss Spring-Autumn A conservatory or greenhouse with warm and humid conditions is best for the Pitcher. It needs careful attention, hard water is not good, mist with tepid water frequently and beware of draughts.
PITTOSPORUM 10-15C Good light, morning sun Loam Spring-Summer They can be placed outdoors in the summer if it is sheltered. It can stay in the same pot for 3 years.
PLATYCERIUM BIFURRCATUM (STAGHORN FERN)

10-21C Good light, evening sun Spagnum moss & compost Spring-Autumn Let your fern dry out between watering but not for too long.I bought one very cheaply at a garden centre because it appeared to be dying but with care and attention it is doing very well. They like humidity so the occassional mist will be welcome. Liquid organic feed once a month but very diluted, if it is too rich it will die.
PLUMERIA RUBRA (FRANGIPANI)

10-21C Good light John Innes no2 & soilless Spring_summer When you repot make sure the pot is 2 sizes larger. The plants can shed their leaves before they flower so dont be alarmed. Beware of the sap it is poisonous.
POINTSETTIAS

PRIMULA (PRIMROSE)
