Appearance Long , coarse, rough leaves with little white flowers.
Height 2-3ft/60cm-1m
Growing Position Sunny.
Fertiliser  
Propagation & soil Rich, moist soil. Propagate annually from cuttings taken in the autumn. Place in a sandy box in a cool dark place until March when you can plant them out in rows.
Spring Plant out your last years cuttings and/or divide the roots of your plant from last year. Do not allow to flower as this will improve the root growth as the plants energies do not go into fruit formation.
Summer Water well
Autumn Take cuttings in September and harvest your roots in October.
Winter Keep an eye on your cuttings, the garage is the best place.
Use Only the root

Areas of help To dissolve internal tumours and urinary troubles.
Storage Use fresh.
Specific Use
  • Grate, season and add a little cream
  • Can be used to improve the flavour of vinegar in pickling.
  • Will last in the fridge for 14 days if cream is not added, add the cream when required.
