General Information:
The nights are beginning to become colder so remember to shut your greenhouse doors and windows each day. Water less frequently as the colder nights could allow botrytis to take a hold

FLOWERS General Info Indoor cyclamen can now be revived with water after their summer rest.
Bring in all plants you want to overwinter, reduce watering.
Allow your cymbidium orchid to suffer two frosts and then bring them in.
Check for vine weevel in your cyclamen, primrose, fuchsias and begonias.
If your christmas cactus has been outside for the summer it can be bought in now but do not water it too much. This will encourage it to flower later in the autumn or even nearer Christmas.
  Cuttings
Seeds to Sow If your greenhouse is not heated all the time you could sow some sweet peas ready to place outside early next spring. These plants will produce flowers earlier, make sure they are planted deep in the pot.

VEGETABLES General Info Pick green tomatoes and put them on a warm window sill in the house to free up space for other overwintering plants.
Tomatoes that have been growing outside and are not ripening can pulled up as a whole plant and hung upside down in the greenhouse. If this takes up too much space cut the fruiting branches off and hang them up.

GENERAL JOBS   Reduce the amount of water your plants recieve, check on a more individual basis.
Keep an eye out for bugs, especially now as plants are being brought in from outside.
Ventilation is still important but dont forget to close everything at night and reduce the number of openings gradually in the daytime. A fan in the greenhouse would be a good investment now as the circulation of air helps to prevent botrytis.
