	Gerberas are available as cut flowers all year round and are generally sold as pot plants in the supermarkets in the middle of May. Check when buying that any buds at soil level are not dead as they can sometimes be starved of water in transit or insitu. Water your plant when you get home and give it some liquid fertilizer every week to encourage flowers, position in a well lit window out of direct midday sun.
