The range of flower colours in the different sizes is fantastic and I find them irresistible in the late autumn months when there is little colour around. Once they have passed their best indoors I have a special area in the garden for planting them.
Generally speaking in the past we have been told not to water a cyclamen from the top but these days it really does not seem to matter as long as the plant does not become waterlogged as this will cause rotting. They like a well drained soil and should be planted not too deeply in an area perhaps under trees or a shrub where they will not bake in the summer sun.
