Cumin has been found in the Pyramids and was widely used as a medicinal plant.
 
Annual/biennial/Perennial Annual.
Appearance The plant resembles the Caraway with umbelsof either white or red and feathery leaves.
Height 12ins/30cms
Growing Position Warm and sheltered.
Fertiliser Organic diluted.
Propagation & soil Rich light soil.
Spring Sow seeds under glass and harden off when the seedlings are 8-10ins/20-25cms high. Make sure all threat of frosts has passed. Plant out in a warm sheltered spot.
Summer Tie muslin over the seed heads to collect them when the seeds have formed.
Autumn Remove old plants.
Winter Dry the seeds.
