Annual/biennial/Perennial Biennial.
Appearance Feathery leaves with umbels of white flowers. The seeds are half moon shaped.
Height 2ft/60cm
Growing Position A sunny spot.
Fertiliser  
Propagation and soil Does not need good soil. Good drainage. Sow seeds..
Spring Sow seeds directly where they will be positioned. Thin seedlings.
Summer Use muslin to tie around the seed heads.
Autumn Collect seeds and dry.
Winter Leave old plants to die back.
Use Root, leaves and seed.

Areas of help Stomach, liver. Extremely good for the whole digestive system.
Specific Use
  • Add the seeds to soups, bread, biscuits but this does diminish their healing properties
  • Eat the leaves in salad or add to soup.
  • Chew before a meal to help indigestion.
